Dr. Sanjay Prakash finished his M.B.B.S in 1983 and M.S (Orthopaedics) in 1986 from S.N. Medical College, Agra. He has 26 years of experience in Orthopaedic Consultation and Surgery. He specialises in managing joint and back pain, and treating fractures both conservatively and operatively, conferring the patient immediate mobility. He is the pioneer in this country in closed nailing techniques for treating fractures in long bones. Besides pain and trauma he also performs Joint Replacement Surgeries.

He also specialises in revision surgeries for Non Union, Bone infections, Failed Surgeries; reconstruction surgeries for Deformities, Polio, Limb Lengthening; Salvage Operations for complex fractures, Bone Cancers, and Bone Loss.Closed Intramedullary Locking Nails

He is highly qualified, having the experience of thousands of fracture repair surgeries with an added mastery in Proximal Femoral Nailing (PFN) technique. He is the pioneer surgeon who introduced the Closed Intramedullary Locking Nail technique for long bone fractures in the country in 1988.

This revolutionary technique lowers healing time from 3 months to 15 days. An operation typically lasts from 45 to 75 minutes. Patients can start walking within a few days of being operated on, and there is no need for a plaster. There is only minimal blood loss, and patients often return to their daily routines in 7 to 14 days. This technique is especially effective on bones such as the Femur (thigh bone), Tibia and Fibula (leg), and Humerus (upper arm), etc. In the last 25 years, Dr. Sanjay Prakash has performed well over 16, 000 successful surgeries.
